Sensor Pointtm Model Products Description

Weather Analytics’ Sensor Point model Past Weather Plustm historical and Future Weather Plustm frequently updated, real-time forecast weather data is available for most locations with sensors accessible from the Internet. The table summarizes available basic and enhanced variables. Make sure to heck the Real Time Example.

Standard Variables

The basic output of the Sensor Point model; the state-of-the-atmosphere-variables, such as air temperature, dew point temperature, wind speed, etc.

Enhanced Variables

Enhanced variables include both conventional and specialized derived parameters and indices that fill a client’s unique situation. Specialized variables are usually defined by the client. Examples of specialized variables include integrated environmental heat content (enthalpy), wet bulb temperature, heating and cooling degree days.

Temporal Resolution

Hour-by-hour time series.

Update Frequency

Standard variables and most derived variables are updated hourly.

Future Weather Plus Forecast Horizon

Currently 72 hours is standard; longer horizons are available by prior arrangement.

Geographical Domain

Global coverage is offered.
